Q. What is "hosting?"
Hosting is the service of placing Web page files on a computer
server connected to the Internet. Hosting may or may not include
the e-mail server associated with your domain name.
Q. Does ENFOSYS own its own servers?
We lease our own server from a specialized provider of dedicated
servers. (See description at left.)
Q. Is ENFOSYS an Internet Service Provider (ISP)?
No, we are a Web site design, management and hosting company.
We provide the Web and e-mail server aspect of your site. Other
local companies (ISP's) can provide you with dial-up and high-speed
Internet access.
Q. Our ISP offers Web hosting. Should we use it?
Generally the focus of ISPs is to provide Internet access. They
do not specialize in Web technologies and instead focus their
efforts on maintaining their Internet access and supporting
customers.
Q. Will using the Enfosys server be more expensive than the
local ISP?
Perhaps. But keep in mind that the low price for your Web service
assumes you will load and maintain your site. And you will spend
your time on the phone tracking down your problems. Enfosys
charges a modest amount more, but we do all these things for

servers. The server is monitored continuously by the network operations
center. Support and repair are handled swiftly by a highly skilled
staff 24x7.
Enfosys manages the server configuration. For example, we set up all
e-mail accounts and passwords. We configure and modify all backend
databases and much more.
Our hosting comes with full maintenance care at no additional charge.
